Colorado Antique Gallery Celebrates Its 11th
Anniversary
By Ruth

The
Colorado Antique Gallery will celebrate eleven successful years
of serving Colorado’s antiques enthusiasts with a Giant Antiques
Show & Sale, Saturday, March 13 through Sunday, March 28 with
up to 50% off most items.
Over the years, the Gallery has become known for its quality antiques
and collectibles dealers and its super friendly staff. Asked what
he attributes the Gallery’s success to, founder, Len Duffey
replied, “It’s got to be our dealers. They are second
to none and their hard work and ability to locate the unique, hard-to-find
items is much appreciated by our loyal patrons. We really do have
Colorado’s finest dealers and we are proud that they have
chosen our mall to call home. Secondly, our staff, headed by Glenda
Chamberlain, has been a major contributor to our success. From the
very beginning we all realized that we had two distinct sets of
customers. . .the general public and our dealers. Without one, you
don’t have the other. Our staff acknowledges this and strives
to make everyone’s Colorado Antique Gallery experience an
enjoyable one. We are most fortunate to have Glenda as our sales
manager. She is very knowledgeable and her diplomacy seems to know
no end. It really goes a long way in customer and dealer satisfaction.”
Founded in 1992, The Gallery is Colorado’s largest multi-dealer
antiques mall with over 50,000 square feet on one level. conveniently
located at 5501 S. Broadway in Littleton, the mall has plenty of
off-street parking and is jammed-packed with items ranging in price
for $1 to more than $5,000. It is currently home to more than 265
individual antiques dealers.
Dealer spaces range in size and price and are available on a month-to-month
basis with mini spaces starting at just $99. There are no workdays
for the dealers, as the Gallery management and staff oversee the
day-to-day activities of the mall. Dealer inquiries are always welcomed.
You can imagine the variety that 265 dealers can provide. A recent
visit had our heads turning and turning. There are toys, fine glassware,
watches, books, paintings, and posters, musical instruments, dolls,
linens, quilts kitchen gadgets, dinnerware, sports memorabilia,
50’s & 60’s collectibles, furniture of every style,
jewelry, and mounted insects. (I had to throw that in because I
was so fascinated by these unique creatures.) At any rate, there
is definitely something for everyone.
Speaking of jewelry, in conjunction with its Eleventh Anniversary
Celebration, on Saturday and Sunday. March 13 & 14, the Gallery
will hold an Estate Jewelry Show & Sale. Knowledgeable dealers
specializing in vintage and estate jewelry will be displaying some
of their very best antique jewelry. This show is a must see for
estate and fine jewelry buffs.
Additionally, the Colorado Antique Gallery is host to the Antiques
Club, which meets the second Saturday of each month. There are no
dues or fees for membership. The Club is purely educational with
topical discussions and guest speakers. You should definitely make
arrangements to attend a meeting at your earliest opportunity.
Stop by The Colorado Antique Gallery and explore their many aisles
